If you want to manage an account on behalf of a dependent, create an account with your information and apply on their behalf. Learn more about Wave.

Review the lists below. Does the youth have an item eligible for approval?

Youth must be 6-18 years old and provide one of the eligible documents below to qualify for youth reduced fare status. An eligible document must clearly show the youth’s first name, last name, and birthdate. Review the list below to ensure the youth has one of the eligible documents, then select from the answers below to continue the application process.

NOTE: Eligibility document is only used for verification purposes and will not be retained.

Passport showing their full name and date of birth
School or vaccination record if full name and date of birth are shown
Valid California DMV identification card
Valid Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driver’s license

What to Know

Guardians will be asked to provide the name, address, birthdate and other information for their dependent.
A photo of the dependent will be taken during the application process and will need to be present.
If approved, guardians applying in person may be issued a youth reduced fare status on the same day.
If you have a Wave card you would like to link your reduced fare status to, bring that card with you.
If you will require a Wave card, the OCTA Store will be able to issue you a card at no charge during the application process.
