- Fuel cost per mile = gas price ÷ MPG
- Non-fuel cost per mile = $0.64 (AAA avg: maintenance, insurance, depreciation, etc.)
- Daily driving cost = round-trip miles × (fuel + non-fuel per mile) + parking − subsidies
- Monthly driving = daily driving cost × days/week × 4 weeks
- Annual driving = monthly × 12
- Transit cost = the lesser of your actual rides or the Wave daily cap ($4.50)
- Monthly transit = capped at $69/month (Wave monthly cap)
- Annual transit = $69 × 12 = $828
- Your savings = driving cost − transit cost
