Equestrian Ride at Trabuco Rose Preserve

One-Hour Moderate to Experienced Ride

Trail length: 1.44 miles | Elevation gain: 274 feet

The 396-acre Trabuco Rose Preserve is located in Trabuco Canyon, northwest of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita. Bordered by the Cleveland National Forest to the north and Trabuco Creek to the south, the preserve features rolling terrain with elevations ranging from 1,120 to 1,650 feet above sea level.

The preserve helps connect adjacent open spaces in the foothills, protecting important natural lands and limiting urban encroachment.

Equestrian rides are docent-led group rides, and advance registration is required. Riders must bring their own horse and be 12 years of age or older. Stallions are not permitted. All participants are required to sign a liability waiver, and riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
