Federal Compliance
The Federal Compliance Office is the Authority's focal point for guidance on federal rules and regulations, and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing OCTA's federal compliance oversight program. This includes assisting OCTA divisions in the responsible use of federal funding and supporting compliance with civil rights requirements.
Program Overview
The Federal Compliance Office provides guidance on new requirements, monitors changes in federal requirements, assists in their interpretation and implementation, provides staff training, and plays a lead role in external federal audits and reviews. These responsibilities include ADA and Title VI civil rights compliance, as well as managing OCTA’s federal subrecipient oversight program, which offers guidance to Project Managers, and conducting annual certifications along with full desktop and on-site reviews of subrecipient agencies within Orange County. These federal requirements span several administrations of the United States Department of Transportation.
