The Metrolink Ducks Express Kicked Off Jan. 25

Hockey fans can skate past traffic to 17 weekday home games with $7 round-trip tickets

 Jan. 22, 2013

ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority, Metrolink and the Anaheim Ducks brought back the Anaheim Ducks Express with a special weeknight train service to and from Ducks games that began Friday, Jan. 25.

Round-trip service to Anaheim is offered at all Orange County stations south of Anaheim for weeknight home games starting at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Round-trip tickets for the special train service cost $7 for the general public, $6 for seniors and $4 for youth ages 6 to 18. All valid Metrolink fare media will be accepted on these trains. A free shuttle will be provided upon arrival at the Anaheim station and will take fans to and from the Honda Center.

“This season hockey fans can enjoy a stress-free ride to 17 home games while saving time and money,” said OCTA Chairman Greg Winterbottom. “Public transportation is a convenient way for residents to travel throughout the county and we are pleased to be able to offer this service and give more people the chance to hop on board for another exciting season.”

Riders can board the train from Oceanside to Anaheim.

Additional information about the Ducks Express train service, including directions for purchasing tickets and game schedules, can be found at www.octa.net/ducksexpress.
