OCTA is inviting members of the community to provide input about three new proposed bus service ideas in a series of community meetings this week.
As a way to help improve transit services in Orange County and find more efficient, cost-effective ways to deliver transportation options, OCTA has proposed to implement three new bus service changes to four selected routes, to begin in 2013 and 2014.
Based on the results of a transit system study the agency completed last year, the proposed services and bus routes include new routes for faster, limited-stop service. Details are on the project website.
Feedback from community members will help OCTA adjust these pilot projects to offer residents more efficient transit services.
OCTA’s outreach team will be hosting meetings from 6 to 8 p.m. next week at the following locations:
Riders boarding the route 43 OCTA bus from Fullerton to Costa Mesa also will be able to travel on a faster, limited-stop service route on Harbor Boulevard between the Fullerton Transportation Center and MacArthur Boulevard under the proposed bus service changes.
- Tuesday, Nov. 13 - Laguna Hills Community Center, Heritage Room, 25555 Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills
- Wednesday, Nov. 14 - Anaheim Downtown Community Center, 250 East Center Street in Anaheim
- Thursday, Nov. 15 - Westminster Senior Center – West Room, 8200 Westminster Boulevard in Westminster
Spanish translation services will be available at all community meetings and Vietnamese translation will be available upon request at the Nov. 15 meeting in Westminster.
