Metrolink Train Service To and From Anaheim Angels Stadium Starts April 8

Baseball fans can save time and money with $7 round-trip tickets
ORANGE – Metrolink and the Orange County Transportation Authority are teaming up this year to offer special weeknight train service to and from Angels’ games beginning with the home opener on Friday, April 8.
Round-trip service to Anaheim will be offered from Los Angeles Union Station and the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo station for weeknight home games starting at 7:05 p.m. Round-trip tickets for the special train service cost $7 for the general public and $6 for seniors. All valid Metrolink fare media will also be accepted on these trains.
“This season, Southern Californians can save time and money while having a positive impact on the environment by taking Metrolink trains both to and from Angels’ games,” said Metrolink and OCTA Board Member and Laguna Niguel Council Member Paul Glaab.
Heading to the game, a southbound train from Los Angeles and a northbound train from the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo station will depart at 5:50 p.m. and make all regular stops on Metrolink’s Orange County line. Both trains are scheduled to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the game and will depart 30 minutes after the last out from the Anaheim Metrolink station, in the parking lot of Angel Stadium of Anaheim,
“Baseball fans this season can avoid the hassles of traffic and parking and instead enjoy an affordable round-trip train ride to the game,” said OCTA Chair Patricia Bates. “Around the nation, sports fans look to public transportation as a convenient way to travel to games and we are excited to offer this special train service for our residents and visitors.”
