Find reliable and safe bus rides with OCTA on New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 to 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1
ORANGE – To help revelers ring in 2025 safely and conveniently, the Orange County Transportation Authority will again offer free OC Bus rides on New Year’s Eve.
The free rides will be offered on all OC Bus fixed routes from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 to 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1. No special pass is required. Route times vary, so plan ahead by visiting www.octa.net/nye.
OC Bus offers a safe and reliable way to reach popular destinations around Orange County, including places people like to celebrating, including Downtown Fullerton, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and more.
Because the free rides are offered at 6 p.m. and after, those planning to travel earlier will be asked to pay the regular $2 fare. But youth and college students already enjoy free rides thanks to the Youth Ride Free pass (for riders aged 6 to 18) and the College Pass, available to students at all nine community colleges in Orange County.
Since 2002, OC Bus has been providing free rides to help people safely celebrate the New Year. Since then, several free ride days have been added, including on Transit Equity Day (which coincides with the birthday of civil-rights icon Rosa Parks), on Earth Day and on California Clean Air Day.
