Construction Closures On Hold During Holiday Weekend

No road work ahead on projects throughout the county

ORANGE – People traveling to celebrate Independence Day will enjoy easier commutes as construction closures throughout the county will be postponed for the holiday weekend.

Ongoing freeway closures associated with the West County Connectors, I-5 South, O.C. Bridges, SR-91 and SR-57 projects will not take place from today (July 3) through Sunday, July 6 to ease the impact on drivers. Regular construction schedules will resume Monday, July 7.

OCTA buses and Metrolink also will operate on a holiday schedule on July 4. To view the schedules, visit: www.octa.net/ebusbook and www.metrolinktrains.com.

The projects represent more than $1 billion in improvements and when completed will enhance traffic flow and safety for hundreds of thousands of drivers that travel along Orange County’s freeways daily.
