    Anaheim Canyon Station Construction Update Detectable Tile Installation

    Yellow detectable warning tiles will be replaced on platform 1 beginning as early as Monday, Oct. 17 and continue for approximately four weeks. This work will occur 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and, if needed, on weekends. Rail service will not be affected by this work.

    This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues. Crews may mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m., and some activities may occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed.

    Improvements are underway to meet current and future rail and transit demand, by expanding and improving the Anaheim Canyon Metrolink Station. Currently, OCTA has begun constructing a second main track, new station platform, and extending the existing platform.

    Project Benefits

    • New station platform and extension of existing platform for greater convenience and accessibility for passengers
    • New second station track allows more than one train to serve the station and pass through the station area at a time
    • Provides enhanced rail service reliability and on-time performance
    • Improvements to existing at-grade crossings
    • New benches, shade structures, and ticket vending machines for passengers

    This project is part of the OC Go program. OC Go (also known as Measure M), is a 30-year half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements in Orange County. In addition to OC Go funding, this project received funding from federal and local sources.
