    The LOSSAN Board of Directors is composed of current and former elected officials representing rail owners, operators, and planning agencies along Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner corridor between San Diego, Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo. LOSSAN is staffed by the Orange County Transportation Authority.

    Fernando Dutra RepresentingLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
    Director Fernando Dutra currently serves as a member of the Whittier City Council. He was recently re-elected in 2022 representing Whittier’s District 4. In March 2021, the Los Angeles City Selection Committee appointed Dutra to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority representing the Gateway Cities in Southeast Los Angeles County where he has been focused on transportation issues with a focus on Light Rail Extension Projects in the region. The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) appointed Perez as a member to the LOSSAN Board of Directors in December 2022. Read More

    Fred Jung RepresentingOrange County Transportation Authority
    Director Fred Jung currently serves as the Mayor of Fullerton and is member of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Board of Directors. Jung was elected to serve a four-year term representing Council District 1 on the Fullerton City Council in November 2020 and was appointed Mayor in 2021. Jung is the first Asian-American Fullerton City Council Member in over 20 years. Prior to joining Council, Mayor Jung served on the Parks and Recreation Commission and Traffic and Circulation Commission. The OCTA appointed Jung as a member to the LOSSAN Board of Directors in January 2023. Read More

    Oxnard City Council Members was formerly a member of the Oxnard Police Department, Mr. MacDonald served for 30 years before retiring with the rank of Assistant Chief of Police. During his career he also served for five years as the City’s Code Enforcement Manager. Read More

    Director Al Murray is the former Mayor and Council member of the City of Tustin. After serving for nearly a decade as well as on the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) board for six years, Murray currently is a policy advisor to the Orange County Board of Supervisors.     Director Marisa Perez currently serves as a transportation policy advisor to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the Gateway Cities Council of Governments. A former White House advisor to President George W. Bush, Perez was elected to the Cerritos College Board of Trustees in November 2012. She was re-elected in November 2020 representing Hawaiian Gardens and portions of the cities of Lakewood, Bellflower, Cerritos, and Long Beach. The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority appointed Perez as an alternate member to the LOSSAN Board of Directors in December 2022. Read More
