Senior & Disabled Fares

Fares valid for persons 60 and older, persons with disabilities and Medicare cardholders. For more information, visit the Reduced Fare ID page.

When purchasing or using senior or disabled fares, you must show proper identification.

Paying on the Bus

OC Bus fare boxes accept all coins (except pennies) and bills $10 and under. Have exact fare ready when boarding, fare boxes do not make change.

Cost per boarding: no transfers issued.

ACCESS Eligible Fixed Route Cash Fare


Cost per boarding: no transfers issued.
OCTA ACCESS ID required.

One Day Pass


Sold by coach operators on board.
Valid until 2:59 am the following day of purchase.

Prepaid Bus Passes

30-Day passes are valid for 30 consecutive days, beginning on the first day of use, providing unlimited use on all local OC Bus routes. Prepaid bus passes are available online or local retailers.

About Senior and Disabled Fares

  • Must show proof of age, disability or Medicare card to coach operator.

  • Senior citizens (age 60 & older) must show a valid driver’s license, California DMV ID card, Medicare card or OCTA Senior Reduced Fare ID card as proof of age when purchasing and using reduced fares.

  • Persons with disabilities see page 4 for a list of accepted Reduced Fare ID Cards.

  • Fares and policies are subject to change. Some restrictions apply. Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to OCTA’s Schedule of Tariffs.
