OCTA recently marked a milestone with the opening of the Heil Avenue pedestrian bridge, the 11 th bridge to open as part of the I-405 Improvement Project. In cooperation with Caltrans, OCTA is improving 16 miles of I-405 between SR-73 and I-605.

The original Measure M (1990 – 2010) made possible more than $4 billion of transportation improvements, including improvements to freeways, widened streets, synchronized signals and intersections.
