Coupon Book to Support Community During West County Connectors Construction

Businesses have until Aug. 16 to include their promotions
August 10, 2010
ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority is looking for local businesses to participate in a free coupon book for residents that will feature discounts for restaurants, retailers and other businesses near the West County Connectors project.

The coupon book will be distributed to residents in Garden Grove, Long Beach, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Westminster and Rossmoor.

Construction on the $328 million West County Connectors project will begin this summer. The project, which will be built in two phases, will improve traffic flow by directly connecting carpool lanes on the San Diego Freeway (I-405), San Gabriel River Freeway (I-605) and Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22). In addition, the project will add a carpool lane on the I-405 stretching from the SR-22 to the I-605.

“We are committed to working with local businesses and residents during the construction of the West County Connectors project,” said OCTA Chairman Jerry Amante, also the mayor of Tustin. “This coupon book is one way we are reaching out to the community as the project progresses .”

To participate, businesses can submit an application until Aug. 16 online at: http://freepdfhosting.com/3e08177015.pdf
