Update on Passenger Rail Service Through San Clemente

Following continued monitoring and successful stabilization work throughout the weekend, Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner safely resumed passenger service through San Clemente on Monday, September 14.

Passengers should continue to check MetrolinkTrains.com and PacificSurfliner.com/Alerts for latest service information and updates.

Crews will continue to closely monitor the rail line as elevated ocean swell and high tides are expected in coming days, though conditions are not anticipated to be as severe as those experienced last week. The safety of passengers and crews remains our highest priority.

Service Reductions Extended

Metrolink is extending its service reductions through at least October.

What to expect:

• Some trains suspended or adjusted
• Fewer trip options overall
• Possible shortened trips, delays, or cancellations
