Take Metrolink to LA Union Station and take the Metro Rail Red or Purple Line to the 7th St/Metro Center station.

Just a short half-mile walk from LA Union Station is Olvera Street, part of El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. The tree-shaded, pedestrian mall marketplace with craft shops, restaurants and roving musicians is a popular place to explore. Be sure to visit Philippe The Original for their famous French dip sandwiches.

Why not be silly and spend the day in Hollywood walking the Walk of Fame at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. Check out Madame Tussauds wax museum, the Dolby Theater and of course Museo & Frank Grill. Ride Metrolink to LA Union Station then take the Red Line to the Hollywood & Highland station.

Sometimes one just needs a dose of Disney without committing to a day at the Disneyland. That's where Downtown Disney District is perfect. Wander about and enjoy a side variety of dining and shopping including the World of Disney store. Take Metrolink to the Anaheim (ARTIC) station and use Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) route 15.

The Anaheim Packing House, formally a 1919 orange packing facility, historically preserved and turned into a 2-story food hall filled a wide variety of cool dining options. Take Metrolink to the Anaheim (ARTIC) station, take Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route 15 then transfer to route 47.

One of the hidden gems in Orange County is the up and coming restaurant scene in the Historic District. Many can be found in the 4th Street Market. Find lunch then stroll the historic buildings like the old Santa Ana Courthouse on Civic Center Dr. Use the Santa Ana station and take OC Bus Route 862 or use Uber or Lyft.

The heart of Old Town Orange is an easy quarter-mile walk from the station. Stroll the many antique shops and boutiques along Chapman Avenue and Glassell Street then have lunch at a host of great restaurants.

Located across from the San Juan Capistrano Station,the Los Rios Historic District is the oldest continually occupied neighborhood in the state with buildings dating to 1794. Make sure to visit the Montanez Adobe nestled in a butterfly sanctuary and stop for a latte at Hidden House Coffee.

If you love strolling along old wooden piers then be sure to add the historic San Clemente Pier to your list. Built it 1928 it is 1,296 feet long. It is perfect for sightseeing, fishing and unwinding. In San Clemente, Metrolink stops at the Pier. Save time for lunch at The Fisherman’s Restaurant at the entrance to the pier.

One of the most captured spots in Oceanside on Instagram. This very picturesque spot is the longest over-water wooden pier on the West Coast measuring 1,942 feet. It is an easy half-mile walk to the Pier from the Metrolink station.
