Metrolink Service Expansion Program

The Metrolink Service Expansion Program (MSEP) is funded by OC Go to provide rail infrastructure improvements for increased Metrolink service between the Fullerton Transportation Center and Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station. Following the completion of the MSEP improvements in 2012, OCTA deployed a total of ten new Metrolink intracounty trains operating between Fullerton and Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo, primarily during the midday and evening hours. Additional and/or expanded weekday service between Oceanside and Los Angeles is planned to take place in the coming year. The service improvements are contingent on cooperation and funding participation with our route partners.
