OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving the local interchange at Interstate 605 and Katella Avenue to improve mobility, smooth traffic flow, and enhance pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

Project Overview

The I-605/Katella Avenue interchange is heavily used by motorists to reach employment centers, recreational attractions, shopping malls, medical centers, universities, and airports. The project will modify existing on- and off- ramps and add bike lanes and curb ramps in each direction of Katella Avenue to enhance safety and traffic flow.

Funding

The $32 million project is funded with OC Go funds, also known as Measure M, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
