Host Jerry Amante discusses a range of Orange County mobility issues with Johnson in hour-long broadcast
ORANGE – Darrell E. Johnson, CEO of the Orange County Transportation Authority, was the featured guest this week on The City Square, an hour-long radio show with lively discussion looking at politics and policy in Orange County.
Johnson spent the hour speaking with host Jerry Amante about a range of issues affecting freeways, streets, the environment and public transit, including plans for the OC Streetcar – Orange County’s first modern streetcar expected to begin construction in 2017.
“OCTA has a huge responsibility for the mobility, not only for the 3.2 million people who live in Orange County, but really for the 24 million people in Southern California,” Amante said. “Darrell has had an impact on mobility, transportation and quality of life of Southern California for the decades he has been in transportation. He really understands regional mobility.”
The City Square airs live each Wednesday morning and can be listened to anytime by podcast at the Association of California Cities Orange County (ACC-OC) website.
