OCTA Newsletter | February 2, 2024
|
Following a landslide in San Clemente on January 24, OCTA joined Metrolink in halting rail service and mobilizing emergency crews to stabilize the hillside and work toward safely resuming passenger service as quickly as possible. This is the fifth time in the past three years we’ve been forced to stop train traffic. Please read my editorial regarding an official state emergency declaration, rail service restoration and future resiliency, and join us in finding solutions to protect this key part of the transportation network for Orange County and all Southern California.
