March 2026

March 18 Is Transit Employee Appreciation Day

On March 18, please take a minute to thank the hardworking professionals who help us move through Orange County every day. Let them know that you appreciate their dedication and service with a quick positive comment onboard or by leaving a message here. Thanks for riding OC Bus.

Skip Traffic and Take the Train to the Swallows Day Parade

For a day of family fun, don’t miss the 66th Annual Swallows Day Parade and Mercado in downtown San Juan Capistrano on March 21. Celebrating the Old West and the return of the swallows from their winter home in Argentina, the popular annual event is best reached by train to avoid traffic and parking hassles. The parade features equestrian teams, dancers, and marching bands and begins at 11 a.m. Arrive early and enjoy a leisurely walk from the Metrolink station to the parade route on Camino Capistrano Street. Adults are only $10 all day round trip, and kids 17 and under ride free.

Service Animals & Trainers Ride Transit for Free on April 11

If you or someone you know has a service animal, come take part in our special Service Animal Training Day on April 11 that pairs service animals and their trainers with experience riding public transportation in a controlled environment. Twice a year, groups gather at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) for a chance to ride designated buses for free while taking in the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney District and Anaheim Garden Walk. Registration is available online and on site.

Watch OC Streetcar Testing on City Streets

After successful runs along the OC Streetcar’s dedicated track, our crews completed the first test recently on city streets in Santa Ana between Raitt Street and Sasscer Park. The streetcar was pulled along the track overnight to check clearances. OC Streetcar system testing will continue in the months ahead. When complete, OC Streetcar will connect Santa Ana and Garden Grove, linking riders to our busiest bus and rail lines across Orange County. Watch the journey and learn more here.
