Skip Traffic and Take the Train to the Swallows Day Parade
For a day of family fun, don’t miss the 65th Annual Swallows Day Parade and Mercado in downtown San Juan Capistrano on March 22. Celebrating the Old West and the return of the swallows from their winter home in Argentina, the popular annual event is best reached by train to avoid traffic and parking hassles. The parade begins at 11 a.m., so arrive early and enjoy a leisurely walk from the Metrolink station to the parade route on Camino Capistrano Street. Adults are only $10 all day round trip, and kids 17 and under ride free.
