Be Rail Safe for a Chance to Win

During Rail Safety Month in September, pledge to be rail safe for a chance to win two Metrolink tickets.

What does being rail safe mean?
  • Crossing only at designated pedestrian or roadway crossings. It’s safer. Crossing anywhere else is illegal.
  • Staying alert around railroad tracks. Avoid texting, wearing headphones, or other distractions. Today’s trains are very quiet and they don’t always sound their horns.
  • Remembering that it takes about one mile—the length of 18 football fields—for a train to stop
  • Expecting a train at any time. Trains can move in either direction at any time, day or night.

Helping Service Animals & Trainers for 30 Years

Service animals experience public transportation differently than human riders.

Animals that are comfortable with the sounds, movement and layout of a bus or train increase the independence and confidence of their companions.

For 30 years, OCTA has offered therapy and service animals and their handlers an opportunity to experience public transportation together during a full, free day of boarding, riding, and learning.

Do you or someone you know have a service animal? Please join us on October 5. Starting at the ARTIC station in Anaheim, you and your service animal will ride the bus for free while taking in the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney District and Anaheim Garden Walk. Online and in-person registration is available.
