Skip Traffic and Take the Train to the Swallows Day Parade
Legend has it that the tiny cliff swallows return to beautiful San Juan Capistrano from their winter home in Argentina each March. The 64th Annual Swallows’ Day Parade and Mercado will celebrate this tradition on Saturday, March 24 and Metrolink is the best way to get there.
Hop on the train to this fun-filled family event! Adults are only $10 all day round trip, and kids 17 and under ride free.
Service Animals & Trainers Ride Free on April 6
If you or someone you know have a service animal, come take part in our special Service Animal Training Day that pairs service animals and their trainers with experience riding public transportation. Twice a year, groups gather at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) for a chance to ride the bus for free while taking in the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney District and Anaheim Garden Walk.
Online and in-person registration is available for the next event on Saturday, April 6.
Take Transit to FREE SoCal Museums
On Saturday, March 23, 2024, more than 30 museums in SoCal will open their doors and offer free general admission. Parking fees at some museums can reach $20, so hop on OC Bus or Metrolink and save while enjoying art, cultural heritage, film, natural history, and science! Check out the full list of participating museum as well as those accessible by transit below:
Bowers Museum (admission usually $15-18) – OC Bus Routes 53, 83
Laguna Art Museum (admission usually $9-12) – OC Bus Route 1
Orange County Museum of Art (usually free) – OC Bus Route 57
California Science Center (admission free) – Take Metrolink to LA’s Union Station and transfer free to the Metro Expo Line to Expo Park/USC Station.
