‘Tis the season to enjoy OC Bus! Go ahead and celebrate. Bus rides are free! No worries. No driving. Let OC Bus get you to your destination and back safely. Enjoy free rides on fixed-route buses from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, until 2:30 a.m. on Monday, January 1. This offer starts at 6 p.m., so if you’re starting earlier, expect to pay the $2 bus fare. We appreciate the opportunity to help keep you safe while traveling during the holidays and beyond.
Take the Train to the Rose Parade!
The exciting Rose Parade is so popular that people camp out on the Pasadena parade route the night before just to catch the early morning spectacle. Metrolink offers convenient special train services early on January 1, so you can get there bright and early to watch the floats, bands, and equestrians march down Colorado Boulevard with no hassles! Metrolink will add early morning service on the Orange County and 91/Perris Valley lines so you can get to L.A. Union Station between 7 and 7:30 a.m. From there, transfer for free to the A Line at L.A. Union Station and you'll be in Pasadena in no time. Additionally, one special afternoon train will be added on the Orange County and 91/Perris Valley lines to help you return home earlier than Metrolink’s normally scheduled service would permit. Take advantage of our $10 Holiday Pass, valid all day for unlimited rides wherever Metrolink travels, and enjoy this special SoCal event! The $10 Holiday Pass will also be available on Christmas Day.
Wet Weather on the Way
One of the best things about public transit is that someone else does the driving, and that’s a particular comfort during wet weather. Most of us know the usual cautions—tread carefully on potentially slippery surfaces, check the Transit App for service updates—but what the heck do we do with our wet and ungainly umbrellas? We’ve got the answers here!
Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year’s Day (January 1) Schedules
Please note the following schedules changes:
Both days, OC Bus will run on a Sunday/holiday schedule
Both days, Metrolink will provide service regularly available on weekends as well as the $10 Holiday Pass
The entire Metrolink system will be closed from December 26 through December 29
