2010 OCTA Annual Benefits Open Enrollment

 

The Annual Open Enrollment period is designed to allow you the opportunity to change health care plans or to add/delete dependent coverage, as specified by each individual plan. Any changes made during the Open Enrollment period, November 10 through November 24, 2009, will be effective January 1, 2010.

WHAT'S NEW FOR OPEN ENROLLMENT 2010:

Flexible Spending Account Payment Cards - You will now be able to pay for your health care expenses with a payment card provided by WageWorks, our administrator for the Flexible Spending Account

"Going Green" - All 2010 benefits information will be available online. The benefits team has been working diligently to upload all necessary information onto OCTAtoday to assist you in making your selections. On our site, you will be able to find instructions on how to find a doctor, plan design information, forms and documents and much more!

REMINDERS:

1. If you are adding a new dependent, contact a member of the Benefits Team before you begin the enrollment process. Applicable documentation such as certified marriage certificate or birth certificate is required.

2. You must enroll your eligible dependent(s) in the same plan(s) you have elected.

3. Kaiser Permanente medical plan includes vision coverage. If you elect Kaiser, you may not enroll in the Vision Service Plan (VSP).

4. If you are a new enrollee in the Aetna HMO plan, please choose a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and enter the physician's 6 digit code on the Lawson ESS medical plan screen. If you are currently enrolled in the Aetna HMO Plan, you do not need to elect a new PCP. However, if you would like to change your current PCP, please contact Aetna directly at (877) 402-8742. Please use the Aetna HMO docfind to find a Primary Care Physician.

5. If you choose not to participate in the Online Open Enrollment process, your health benefits will default to KAISER PERMANENTE and SMILESAVER.

6. Be sure to complete all screens of the Lawson Online Open Enrollment by the deadline of November 24, 2009 and print out a copy of your online enrollment confirmation, for your records.
