$10 Fares on Labor Day, Monday, September 3

Metrolink is offering $10 Holiday discounted tickets on Labor Day, Monday, September 3.

On Labor Day, Metrolink is offering a Sunday/Holiday schedule.

This year, Metrolink's Board of Directors approved a $10 Holiday fare discount on six Federal holidays including Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Memorial Day. This allows riders to explore Southern California more affordably by taking the train.

As part of the Sunday/Holiday schedule, there will not be service on the Ventura County or Riverside lines, nor on the four stops of the Perris Valley Line extension of the 91/Perris Valley Line.

    September is Rail Safety Month

Rail Safety Month was first designated by the State of California in 2009, with the goal of decreasing rail-related incidents.

Rail Safety Month is a time when Metrolink partners with member agencies, law enforcement, Operation Lifesaver and other rail operators to highlight safety at rail crossings and on the railroad rights-of-way through education outreach, enforcement efforts and engineering upgrades.

Throughout the month, Metrolink will facilitate several events including press events, directed enforcements at crossings, partnerships with local businesses and schools near tracks and social media posts.

Although Metrolink ramps up for Rail Safety Month every September, Metrolink’s commitment to safety extends beyond September, with a year-round, daily emphasis on safety around trains and train tracks.
