The station is within easy walking distance of the historic downtown area. Family outings range from visiting the Leo Fender exhibit at the Fullerton Museum, the Train Museum adjacent to the station, plus great restaurants and some funky boutiques if you feel like shopping.
There are some fun and funky shops in downtown Fullerton from cool little boutiques in Villa Del Sol to unique vintage clothing stores and antique shops along Harbor Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue. It’s always fun to go exploring!

The Fullerton museum is under a half mile north of the station at 301 N. Pomona Avenue. The Train Museum is adjacent to the station on the east side.

The historic Fullerton Depot is part of the Fullerton Transportation Center and serves both Metrolink and Amtrak along with connections on OC Bus. The 1930 depot is a masterwork of the Spanish Colonial Revival style with graceful arches, decorative metalwork and a Monterey-style balcony.
