  • Express Bus

Enjoy a stress-free commute when you join us for our limited-stop express service. Turn your attention toward relaxing rather than the cars ahead of you.  To make life even easier, our express routes now offer mobile ticketing.

OCTA operates three express routes for commuters between Orange County and neighboring counties. These routes begin at park-and-ride facilities where you can leave your car and travel to popular business centers in Los Angeles and Orange County. These routes use freeways, have fewer stops and operate only during peak morning and afternoon times Monday through Friday.

    Express Routes
Mobile ticketing is available for Routes 701, 721 and 794 so you can easily buy and display your bus pass on your phone. No need to hassle with paper tickets or cash.
Two routes offer express service to Los Angeles.

    • Route 701 begins at the Goldenwest Transportation Center in Huntington Beach and travels along the 405, 605, 105 and 110 freeways to a final destination at the Patsaouras Transit Plaza in downtown Los Angeles.
    • Route 721 begins at the Fullerton Park-and-Ride and travels along the 91 and 110 freeways, to its final destination at the corner of 4th & Beaudry in downtown Los Angeles.
    • Route 794 travels between Riverside and Corona to the South Coast Metro area.
