Taking the bus is pretty simple. Just follow these three steps: Plan, Pay, and Ride. It all begins with our
online trip planner. Or you can visit our How to Ride section for more information on how to use OC Bus
and figuring out the best way to get to the places where you want to kill the summer.
They call that smart phone you’re using to Snapchat a smart phone for a reason. It can fill your head with all the travel information you could possibly want using a number of cool apps. Below are our top three favorites but there are many others just in case you want to max out your phones storage on transportation stuff.
We want to give you permission to stop being a taxi service for your kid. A Youth Pass is a small price to pay for your freedom and theirs. We don’t know how many trips you make back and forth to the mall or beach but we guarantee an OC Bus can take them there. The Youth Pass is for kids ages 6-18 and can be purchased online or your favorite market. Or if you want to chat with us, you can purchase your pass at the OCTA Store.
When your kid rides an OC Bus, they are on one of the safest vehicles on the streets. Our buses are clean, the drivers trained to make things safe (including pointing out the five cameras on every bus!) and many of our routes operate 15 minutes or less so your kid won’t spend too much time hanging around waiting.
That’s right. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) offers a free program for Kids and Teens on “How to Ride the Bus” for both schools and youth organizations. A professional from OCTA will come to your location, at a time you select, to teach youth groups and teens how to ride the bus. Our presentations is lively and informative, and are making a difference.
