Public Outreach Manager
The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) actively participates in helping examine traffic solutions, providing input to OCTA’s transportation studies and communicating with their constituencies. During the year, committee members are asked to participate in roundtable discussions and hear special presentations on various transportation projects, programs and services.
Selected by the OCTA Board of Directors, the CAC is comprised of 34 members that reflect a broad spectrum of interests and all geographic areas of the county. The diverse members’ backgrounds range from community leadership to transportation research and engineering. Selection criteria for the CAC include demonstrated interest and involvement with community activities and transportation issues as well as a willingness to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per year to OCTA meetings and activities.
Each year, as terms of various members expire, a recruitment process is conducted to fill vacant positions on the CAC. This recruitment process typically takes place late winter/early spring with final selection in June.
The new member recruitment process for 2017 begins February 16. All applications, along with a resume (if available), must be received by April 10, 2017.
