Councilmember, City of San Clemente
Director Lori Donchak currently serves on the San Clemente City Council. Orange County's City Selection Committee reappointed Donchak in January 2017 as a city council representative to the OCTA Board of Directors, where she serves as the Board’s Immediate Past Chair and a member of the Executive Committee.
Director Donchak is dedicated to the fiscally responsible, carefully managed growth of San Clemente. Anticipating needs of future generations is essential to maintaining our prosperity and sense of community so unique to San Clemente.
Committed to solving transportation needs in and around San Clemente, she founded the San Clemente Mobility Taskforce and serves on the railroad Safety/Quiet zone taskforce. On behalf of San Clemente, she is currently the CUSD Liaison and city representative for the Orange County Library. She was appointed to the CA Joint Powers Insurance Authority Executive Board in 2013. She is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and the San Clemente Historical Society.
Director Donchak graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Linguistics and Education. She received an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management and enjoyed a 20-year career as a business executive in the communications industry. She recently retired after 10 years of teaching at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano. Lori, husband Andrew, and two children have lived in San Clemente since 1999.
